Job purpose
This position is responsible for the daily operation of the Food 4 Kids Program, including overseeing all inventory, ordering of food, coordination of donation and supervision of volunteers.
Duties and responsibilities
Ensure day to day operation meets IES standards with a clean, friendly and inviting atmosphere free of any liability concerns
Responsible for food distribution to schools in the program
Manage inventory to ensure that demands of the program can be met weekly
Ordering backpacks and other supplies needed for program
Coordinate with volunteers for the program and manage schedules
Keep accurate records of data including schools, meals, appropriate totals and reporting as requested
Occasional pick up or delivery of food for program (either a donation or when bags are not delivered by volunteers)
Speak to churches, civic organizations and local schools; Some evenings and weekends may be necessary to speak
Maintain an up to date notebook of all program participants related to school contacts and volunteers, including maintaining email addresses for communicating needs and updates of the program
Present a Christ-like atmosphere
Driver of program vehicles as needed and maintain a clean driving record
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of one year supervisory experience.
Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office required (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Current FL Driver’s License and clean driving record
Working conditions
This position works in a small warehouse/office setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers. These duties are performed in a part-time, 25 hour work week and are performed primarily in the Food 4 Kids building. Work primarily in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Physical requirements
Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking and requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations, bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 50 pounds.
