More than 25 years ago, Body Builders Television Network (bbtvn.com) and the Embassy Church of God in Christ (embassytv.net) were launched right here in Ocala by founders Supt. Dr. Will Chambliss and Dr. Brenda Miller-Chambliss.
What began here eventually expanded nationally within the African American church community. We later relocated to the western North Carolina mountains, where our ministry and media work continued to grow.
We were doing well.
Then, on July 17, 2020, at 5:30 in the morning, we received “The Call.”
The call no parent, spouse or grandparent ever wants to receive:
Our son, Tyler Randolph Eugene Williams, had been murdered. His murder remains unsolved.
His senseless murder didn't destroy the life we had already built.
Out of our own experience came Step By Step Tragic Death Grief Support Ministry, serving survivors of the victims of murder, suicide, and tragic loss.
And then life happened again.
In June 2026, I lost my sister, Cassandra “Kay,” following a sudden diagnosis of previously undetected pancreatic cancer. Thirty-one days after the diagnosis, she was gone.
That experience expanded our assignment to include families facing sudden, short-term terminal diagnoses.
We have experienced for ourselves the gaps in resources surrounding murder, suicide, tragic death, and sudden terminal diagnosis.
We know the sleepless nights.
We know the loneliness.
We know what happens when the funeral is over, everyone goes home—and the survivors are left asking:
As Pastors who have officiated too many funerals of young people, especially African American, from gunshot and other violence. You ask yourself, what could we have done to prevent that, maybe save a life? Our more than 30 years of documented experience in media, ministry, and community outreach, combined with what we have lived personally, has brought us back to Marion County for the next phase of the assignment.
Body Builders Television Network is becoming the BBTVN Legacy Channel—preserving and sharing 25 years of media, ministry, interviews, event coverage, historic programming and more.
And from that legacy, we are launching:
From Marion County, with a local, regional and national platform;
EXPANDED VISION.
EXPANDED AUDIENCE.
EXPANDED PURPOSE.
Step TV brings together FAITH • FAMILY • COMMUNITY, using television and digital media to REACH • CONNECT • IMPACT people through survivor support and aftercare, Healing Conversations TV Magazine, CHOICES youth prevention, the C.A.P.A. You'll also hear where we're going next—including the vision for Step TV's national 24/7 launch at NRB in Washington, D.C., in February 2027.
But we're not simply looking for donors.
We're inviting partners, sponsors, connectors, businesses, churches, professionals, civic leaders, and community leaders who recognize the need, believe in the vision, and want to discover:
Hear the Story. • Experience the Vision. • Meet the Mission. • Discover Where You Fit.
