MCA Photo Encaustic Workshop Led by: Kathleen Warren Date & Location: Saturday, Dec. 13 · 10am–4pm · The Brick Price: $110 nonmembers / $100 MCA members (all supplies included) Discover the luminous beauty of encaustic wax and transform your photographs into rich, layered works of art! In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to combine your own printed images with melted wax to create stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces. Perfect for both beginners and returning students, this workshop covers: Safety and foundational encaustic techniques Layering, texturing, and carving into wax Incorporating mixed media and printed photos Each participant will create at least three small pieces (5x7 or 8x10) using their own photographs. All supplies are provided; bring an apron or smock and your creative spirit!
